2008 : Did you know?

Ok, that’s a bit strange… now what about some trivial facts? or they call it so…

Green was Coca Cola’s original color…?

its really something, to think that it’s been part of many articles and blogs…

for example: http://www.purpleslinky.com/Trivia/Random/Trivial-Facts-You-Might-Want-To-Know.81209

Many rumors abound, like the following:

Coca Cola was first produced in 1843, the original ingredients were leaves from the coca and cola plant. One unfortunate side effect of using the leaves of these species, which have particularly high levels of chloroplasts such as zytamin and carytonin, is that the resulting drink was green. This was then rectified with the introduction of root extracts which changed the colour to what you are used to seeing today.

However, according to the Coca Cola site itself

“This is indeed just a rumor. Although the famous contour bottle is green, Coca-Cola has always been brown in color, since its start in 1886.”

This is just a reminder, that we should believe in everything we learn… that has been proven, got it? :-)

Facts and rumors are similar in some-ways, but never they came equal at the conclusion. Infact rumors itself starts but never it moved forward for a second step. It may provide assumptions… but, unless proven, it cannot be called “a fact”.
